Teflon Traps
A half wave dipole still represents one of the most effective one-band-antennas. Because of the built-in traps the antenna is resonant on two bands; for these traps
Teflon cable was used, to ensure a very small temperature coefficient and therefore a minimalized frequency shift. By the inverted V installation - the tower serves
as a center prop up for the dipole, which looks like a inverted "V" - a good omnidirectional characteristique will be achieved. A 1:1 balun couples the symmetrical
antenna to the unsymmetrical coaxial cable, which will have to be connected to the antenna via a common SO 239-socket.
It is a plug-and-play System: Isolators and ropes are mounted already and will be delivered with the antenna.
